Know what to expect.
A good project starts with clear answers. Here are some of the questions you may have before working with T.Reno Contracting.
Tell us about your project
Getting started
From an early idea to a useful first conversation.
What is the first step?
It's simple. Contact us and tell us about your project. We'll discuss what you're looking to accomplish, answer your questions, and determine the best way to move forward.
What information should I include when I contact you?
Start with your town or ZIP code, the type of project and what you want to accomplish. If you have a budget range, target timing, plans or rough measurements, mention those too. It is fine to tell us what you have not decided yet.
Can I send project photos or inspiration images?
Yes. You can attach photos to an email to info@trenocontracting.com. The website form does not upload files. Include a brief explanation of what each photo shows or what you like about an inspiration image. Photos help begin the conversation; they do not replace a discussion of the scope and existing conditions.
Can you help me if I don't know exactly what I want yet?
Yes. You don't need to have every detail figured out before contacting us. We can discuss your goals, budget, priorities, and ideas and help develop a practical plan for moving forward.
Do you work on small projects?
Yes. No job is too small. We do small repairs, drywall and painting, concrete patios, finished basements and handyman work. Send us your list and we’ll discuss the scope and next step.
How far do you travel?
We serve Adams County, Pennsylvania and Carroll County, Maryland. Other locations in PA and MD are available upon request. Tell us your project location and scope so we can discuss whether it is a fit.
Scope, estimates & budget
Understand what is included and how the work is considered.
Do you provide free estimates?
We offer consultations and project estimates based on the scope and requirements of your project. Every project is different, so we take the time to understand what you want before putting together an accurate proposal.
How do you determine the cost of my project?
We look at the complete scope of work, materials, labor, site conditions, project requirements, and other factors that may affect the job. Our goal is to provide a clear and understandable proposal, so you know what you're paying for before work begins.
Why shouldn't I just hire the lowest-priced contractor?
Price is important, but it is only one part of a successful project. Experience, communication, preparation, workmanship, project management, and accountability can all have a significant impact on the overall experience and final result. Our goal is to provide value through the entire process — not simply provide the lowest number.
Can I discuss more than one room or type of work?
Yes. Share the whole project, including the parts you consider most important. A combined scope helps us discuss how the work fits together, which decisions affect other tasks and what coordination may be needed.
During your project
Planning, communication and decisions along the way.
How do I know the project will stay on schedule?
Planning and communication are critical. We establish expectations at the beginning of the project and maintain communication throughout the process. Our management experience allows us to coordinate the different aspects of a project and keep the work moving efficiently.
Will I be kept informed during my project?
Absolutely. Communication is one of our core principles. We believe you should know where your project stands, what is happening next, and have an easy way to reach us when you have questions.
What happens if I change my mind about something during the project?
Changes happen. If you decide to modify the scope, materials, or design, we'll discuss the impact on cost and schedule with you before moving forward whenever possible. Our goal is to make the process clear so you can make an informed decision.
Do you handle everything or do I need to coordinate different contractors?
We can manage the different aspects of your project so you don't have to spend your time coordinating multiple trades and schedules. Tony has worked with his vetted, fully licensed and insured subcontractors, including plumbers and electricians, for more than 10 years. Our construction management background helps organize the work and keep the project moving.
How do you handle unexpected conditions?
Construction can sometimes uncover conditions that could not reasonably be seen beforehand. If something unexpected comes up, we'll communicate it with you, explain the available options, and discuss any potential impact before proceeding.
What if I will be living in the home during the work?
Tell us early, especially if the project affects your only kitchen or bathroom. Access, working areas and day-to-day routines are useful planning topics. We can discuss those needs alongside the scope and anticipated sequence of work.
Working with T.Reno
The experience and responsibilities behind the work.
Why should I choose your company for my project?
Tony brings 25 years in the construction industry and 15 years in construction management, from hands-on carpentry to project management and operations leadership. That experience informs how T.Reno approaches your project: understanding the work, organizing the scope and paying attention to the details.
Are you licensed and insured?
T.Reno Contracting is licensed in Maryland (MHIC 170556) and registered in Pennsylvania (PA235812), with insurance in both states. We believe protecting our clients and their property is an essential part of doing business the right way.
What makes your company different?
Our experience. We don't just understand construction from a management perspective — we've been in the field. We've worked as laborers, carpenters, sales professionals, superintendents, project managers, and operations leadership. That experience gives us an understanding of what it takes to successfully move a project from an idea to a finished product.
